Less than thirty-five

Less than thirty-five is a monthly news article (usually posted on the first Saturday of each month) featuring deviations which have fewer than 35 :+fav:’s and less than 10 original comments (at the time of writing). The aim is to hopefully help these underappreciated deviations, and in many cases the artists themselves, to gain more exposure and recognition.

80. Only HumanPurple shafts of light filtered in through the shutters, mixing with the dull glow from the lightpads on the ceiling, catching on the haze of smoke inside the small, dank room. A holographic screen on the wall adjacent to the window displayed a darkened ‘Game Paused’ menu, and the face of a many-buttoned controller poked out from under the twisted remnants of the bed sheets like a small animal checking to see if the weather had calmed. An opened box of pizza lay discarded on the floor, only one slice gone.

The air was thick, nearly to the point of stifling, heavy with the scent of cigarette smoke and brain-calming Deep Silver Lin
The Terramancers of CiarademCiaradem was a very early human settlement based Southwest of the Great Desert; a thriving city of talented rock-weavers. Any of their structures survive to the present day, albeit obscured by the course of nature, with many more being discovered every month.

The Ciaradem terramancers were extremely prolific masons by trade, able to bend the earth to their whim and thereby carve great megastructures of stone. Research suggests that the terramancers worshipped an ancient stone megalith; a hulky beast of rock so large that its mouth could swallow the sky and its presence could warp the passage of time. They believed it was from this megalith t
