a vision of stars
upon your teeth,
& thread your
dreams along the
backbones of children.
Be still, sleep-
er, for the pregnant moon

swells

emotions are just as fattening.
at the rate we are going,

According to the old religion, a scribe
must bathe in natural running water
before she draws what is dictated to her,
because writing's just like cleaning a mirror,
she says, it's like rearranging stains
left on wholesome rivers. For three nights,
I drew geometric shapes in the margins;
I had been instructed to take notes on
the underside of snow, and how it colonized
the lithosphere, musically and without hurt.
It felt like a call, but it wasn't a calling.
The paper was made in Himalayan foothills
by a woman who had cleansed knots from fibrous bark
and dipped her bleached hands into boiling water.

Hm... if i were to be truly honest, I don't get it. Although you will wonder why I would comment on something I don't understand, it is because your works intrigue me in a way. I got a feel of it as ... well honestly it is hard to explain. I feel that something is missing and that is direction - for me it starts in between a vision and the ending tries to justify it.
Sorry - I mean I didn't do an amazing job at giving you feedback but I wanted to be honest
