:xmas: revamp 2 STEP ONE
Make a post to your DA journal. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a ______ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("all I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV."). The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your DA or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.

:xmas: revamp 2 STEP TWO
Surf around your friends list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now, here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- do it.

You need not spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not -- it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Give, and you might receive. and you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My Wishlist:

  1. Ever since I read True Grit I've wanted my own copy (I read it as an e-book) - I'm hoping I can find an old and interesting copy in a shop at some point, but I've never seen it before...
  2. Book recommendations (sorry to copy you Kathi!) - I love it when people recommend books to me! I'm open to reading anything, but don't really like fluffy / 'chick lit'-type books.
  3. That my family and friends all stay healthy and happy.
  4. Spreading the love around the dA community, whether it be through features, thoughtful comments, etc. :dalove:
  5. Spreading the love 'in real life' too, even if it's something small.
  6. That I can find time to actually properly get back into dA over the Christmas break. I've neglected it a lot and feel really guilty about it (which is partly why I keep putting it off).
  7. That I can find time to read more (work usually gets in the way :()
  8. Suggestions of unknown deviants for the helping-the-unknown features (guidelines are on the group's profile page, top left :la:)
  9. A better e-reader - I like the one I have, but it's the cheapest one so it doesn't have a lot of features and can be quite glitchy (I've had it replaced once already).
  10. Mobile phone recommendations - I've had problems with my iPhone recently and just got it replaced, but I feel like I can't trust it anymore! Any recommendations on what phone I should get next when this one finally gives out would be lovely. :)

Since (due to procrastinating as usual) I've posted this kind of late, I'm sure a lot of people have already been tagged in this, but I will tag: ithaswhatitisnt , chromeantennae , AlwaysRainCheck , SirFranPan

I had bad experiences with Iphones too, now I only recommend android phones...even if I'm a mac user :D the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo is my suggestion, a friend of mine has it and he is more than enthusiast. Samsung phones in general are quite reliable...But if you want both reliability and battery duration then go for Motorola though they are a bit pricey.

Happy Holidays by the way, I wish you all the best! Christmas Dance
